Right in the centre of the village centre, the Gatley Takeaway can probably claim to be the heart of Gatley – certainly based on the number of people who visit this restaurant and take away during a week would be testament to that.
It is the quality of the food on offer here that makes this such a popular establishment. Take-aways in suburban settings do not normally cook every single meal from scratch but with the kitchen clearly visible while you are waiting, the Gatley Tandoori shows that it does just that. Waiting staff are friendly and keen to allow you to ask for meals not on the menu – we’ve not been refused yet.
Add to this one of the best kept fish tanks in South Manchester and you can’t fail to have a great meal here.
